As we move into the 11th month of the year, the energies are stronger than ever - Power is the theme of November as we navigate Scorpio season and the dynamic stand-off between Mars and Pluto from now until the spring. We have a record 5 planets changing signs and two planets changing direction which will inevitably create major change shifts for us, both collectively and personally. We enter the month with an intensely emotional New Moon in Scorpio, just before the U.S. election, move into a chaotic and unpredictable full moon in Taurus mid-month and end with our final Mercury retrograde of the year. Tis the season for us to be triggered in one way or another this month, so the name of the game is examining where we are reacting and how we can best manage our emotional landscape. It is a challenging month, but it creates tremendous opportunity to determine if we are feeling empowered in life OR are feeling disempowered, based on where our triggers come out to greet us. Let's check out the transits of November 2024.
Nov. 1st - New Moon in Scorpio - The new moon occurs at 9 degrees of Scorpio and has both intensity mixed with supportive structure and commitment. It trines Saturn which helps our new intentions we set manifest through work and focus. However, it has two rulers, Mars and Pluto, both of which are opposing each other and creating power plays, passion and reactivity in people. Channel this energy wisely - use its strength and tenacity to create something remarkable in your life.
Nov. 2nd - Mercury enters Sagittarius - Mercury in the sign of the philosopher, wants to know the meaning of everything. Here we look at the big picture, the pursuit of truth. Sagittarius is the storyteller of the zodiac. Mercury will remain in Sagittarius for an extended period of time due to his final retrograde of 2024. Take some time to explore - go on an adventure whether that's physically or metaphysically. Mercury in Sagittarius loves to see new and different perspectives.
Nov. 3rd - Mars enters Leo & opposes Pluto - Mars, the planet of action and motivation, is starting to slow down preparing for his rare once every 2 year retrograde that he will start in December. In the meantime, he leaves Cancer temporarily and moves into passionate and dramatic Leo. As a fire sign, Mars enjoys being in Leo where he can shine bright and exude warmth and confidence into the world. It is here Mars acts from a place of heart and true authenticity. As he opposes Pluto, we can use this fiery and passionate energy to motivate us to get s**t done before he reverses his tracks the first week in December. Once Mars goes retrograde it can feel like we're literally walking through mud. So start projects now, launch products and services now and take BOLD Confident Action NOW because Mars can create frustration and delays once December is upon is.
Nov. 11th - Venus enters Capricorn - The planet of love and money gets a little less adventurous and starts assessing the long term. Her standards naturally rise and she acts a little more humble in the sign of the goat - moving more slowly and cautiously over the next few weeks. Venus in Capricorn helps you determine what you really want. She's focused, ambitious and knows how to go after what she wants. She'll help you do the same.
Nov. 15th - Full moon in Taurus conjunct Uranus - Occurring at 24 degrees of Taurus this full moon aligns with the planet of awakening and unpredictability! Expect the unexpected! This full moon can manifest long awaited plans and desires but can also bring sudden realizations and breakthroughs. Release attachments to any outcomes as Taurus and Scorpio like to feel safe and secure by attempting to control outcomes, but Uranus comes in and says, "yeah, right...." PLOT TWIST! The full moon does, however, make great alignments to Pluto and Neptune allowing us to tap into our intuition for greater clarity and insight.
Nov. 15th - Saturn goes Direct - The planet of time and karmic lessons, finally moves forward again after giving us an extensive review of what limiting beliefs are blocking us from manifesting our dreams. Look to which house in your birth chart Saturn in Pisces is transiting to see which area of life this has been playing out.
Nov. 19th - Pluto permanently enters Aquarius until 2044 - Arguably the most important transit of November and even 2024 itself, Pluto, the planet of power and transformation, permanently completes his 16-year journey through the sign of Capricorn and enters Aquarius for the next 20 years. This is a BIG DAY! This day will bring intense energy and potentially intense shifts. Keep an eye on the world stage. This energy isn't completely new as Pluto briefly dipped into Aquarius in the spring of 2023 and then again for a good bit here in 2024 so we have already started to get a taste of what Pluto in Aqua will bring (think AI etc.) but when it permanently crosses the threshold of Aquarius on November 19th, our society will permanently start to shift as well. It's the birth of a new generation.
Nov. 21st - the Sun moves into Sagittarius marking Sagittarius season - Happy birthday to all the Saggies out there. Hope and faith are restored as Jupiter, the "Santa Claus" of the zodiac, rules the season. Now marks the beginning of the holiday season where joy and optimism can fill the air.
Nov. 25th - Mercury goes Retrograde in Sagittarius - ending the month and stationing retrograde at 22 degrees Sag, Mercury will back track through the sign of expansive horizons until December 15th. This particular retrograde will speak directly to you if you have planets or personal points between 6 and 22 degrees of the archer or the other 3 mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo and Pisces. Mercury retrogrades are always a time for reviewing - remember the 3 R's: review, re-do and renew. Since this Mercury retrograde will occur during the holiday travel season, make sure to be flexible with your travel plans: leave early, double check departure times, review itineraries. Mercury rules our beloved planes, trains and automobiles.
Those are all of the major transits of November - see you all next month!
